Core Team Member Small Group Leader Driver for Carpool Monthly Meal Rotation Event Chaperone Behind the Scenes
Volunteer Role Descriptions:
Core Team Members are responsible for:
Attending monthly Core Team meetings during the year.
Participating in the Core Team Training/Team Building session (Day/Time TBD).
Attending weekly Lifeteen/Edge Nights consistently. Relationships are built by spending time together. Your consistent attendance models a commitment to your faith.
Committing to your parish’s weekly Lifeteen/Edge night agenda.
Run a small group which may include small group discussions, simple projects, and other small group activities on the weekly Wednesday youth group evenings. (See Small Group Leader role for more a thorough description).
Small Group Leaders are responsible for:
coming on Wednesday youth group nights and actively participating, leading activities, leading prayer, and potentially leading talks (optionally).
Drivers for Carpool are responsible for:
Filling out Archdiocese of Seattle paperwork (provided by Youth Ministers).
Signing up for the event you are able to be a driver for.
Driving kids from the church to the event location and (hopefully!) back to the church.
Monthly Meal Rotation volunteers are responsible for:
Going through kitchen training at the Parish.
Signing up for the particular youth group night they can help cook for each month.
Helping plan the meal, recipe, and coordinating ingredient pick-up with other volunteers.
Assisting in the kitchen the day-of.
Helping serve the meal at the youth ministry event.
OR - provide an already cooked meal.
Event Chaperones are responsible for:
Signing up for events you can attend via SignUpGenius website
Actively participating at the event.
Being willing to discipline, remain positive, and find the youth minister for help if needed.
Following diocesan rules for Safe Environment at all times.
Following the parish’s discipline policy, and work with youth ministers if discipline issues arise.
Fundraising events.
Behind the Scenes volunteers may be responsible for one or more of the following (we are open to hearing ideas/suggestions if you have a vision for another volunteer opportunity!):
Assisting in updating the MQP Youth website with upcoming event information.
Creating promotion material.
Setting up and/or tearing down events.
Assisting in outreach and promotion.
Fundraising events.
Brainstorming and planning ideas for the ministry
